An Attempt at a Re-Archive

I’ve always been quite proud of my photo archiving when it came to work (yes a few of my past co-photogs may disagree with that but hey I knew where everything was and what my categories and abbreviations meant ;) ).

Since the discovery of the messy desktop situation I’ve been on a mission-nay a quest- to clean up my photo archiving act and really get all those damn photos in order and the backup archives triple backed up.

That if course means the wading through of years of photos, which is both overwhelming and nostalgic.

There are photos that were stashed aside because they were “almost there.”

There are a melange of photos that I had such high hopes for when it came to presentation in the paper yet the designers or the registration of the press did not agree with my “vision”.

And of course plenty of photos that make me say, “what the hell was I thinking during that assignment?” and “ugh that was the worst assignment EVER!”.

Here are a few I happened upon this week during my first of many forays into the archive for organizational and sanity’s sake:

Trying to find the remaining pieces of their costumes (left to right), Jessica Barre, Terah Magerstaedt and Emma Buno walk through the aisles of Value Village in Bremerton on Wednesday. The trio and their friend Heather Binford (not pictured) were dressed as characters from the Jonas Brothers music video “Bounce”  and were making a spoof of the video. (MEEGAN M. REID |  KITSAP SUN)
